All foreigners must remember to be insured during their stay in Poland. Insurance gives the access to medical services.

Public (Polish National Health Fund, NFZ) insurance:
If you’re insure in Polish National health Fund, to see the doctor, you must first register at one of the clinics, preferably near where you live and choose your primary care doctor.

Pharmacies:
Medicines are only available from pharmacies, except for some painkillers. You must be aware that some medicines can only be obtained with a prescription from a doctor.
