European Solidarity Corps offers a variety of volunteering opportunities to your people. Volunteering activities are open to 18-30 year old people who reside in programme and partner countries.

We were delighted to welcome volunteers from around the world who joined us in supporting the work of the Cooperation and International Relations Office as a part of the European Solidarity Corps project (project code 2024-1-PL01-ESC51-VTJ-000204382).
Coming from diverse cultural, social, and educational backgrounds, our volunteers brought with them fresh perspectives, creativity, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to building a more inclusive and connected Europe. Their involvement was an excellent example of how international cooperation and volunteering can create opportunities for meaningful intercultural exchange while strengthening solidarity and mutual understanding.
Throughout the project, the volunteers actively participated in the co-creation and implementation of initiatives focused on interculturalism, diversity, inclusion, and solidarity. Working closely with the Cooperation and International Relations Office, they contributed their ideas and skills to a variety of activities designed to engage the wider community and promote European values. Their contributions included: supporting events and activities, creating social media content, promoting diversity and inclusion.
Beyond the practical support they provided, the volunteers became an important part of our community. We are grateful to all volunteers for their energy, ideas, commitment, and openness.
Individual volunteering April 2025-April 2026
A true advocate for international mobility, Berkay’s connection to Gdańsk began with an Erasmus semester back in 2016. Back home, that experience sparked a seven-year career in higher education and Erasmus+ project management, where he helped hundreds of students navigate their own adventures abroad. In 2025, he decided to press pause for a gap year and jumped into a long-term European Solidarity Corps volunteer project at the University of Gdańsk. Today, he works there full-time as a Specialist in the Cooperation and International Relations Office, handling social media, content creation, and day-to-day operations. Outside of work, Berkay is a true Sagittarius, a dedicated cat person, and a traveler with 15 countries under his belt.

I came to the volunteering with ESC because I wanted to know new countries and more of the world with people from different places than me, and find out more about every type of culture, and doing so while helping and bringing good to the place I’m in is even better.
I am a Master’s student in Sustainability Transition for Organisations and Resilience Management (STORM), armed with a background in hospitality and an unhealthy amount of coffee. My goal is to help businesses go green without making life unnecessarily complicated. When I am not talking about the circular economy, you will likely find me at a ping-pong table or in the kitchen while cooking.
I chose to volunteer at UG to do my bit for the Gdańsk community, driven by the desire to help others without expecting anything in return.
I am here to immerse myself in a new culture, share space with people from all over the world, and work together toward a common cause: INCLUSION.
My name is Dalila, and I’m from Italy. I’ve always enjoyed traveling, discovering new cultures, and meeting people from different backgrounds. After finishing my studies, I felt it was the right time to try a new and meaningful experience, so I decided to become a volunteer. I saw it as an opportunity to contribute to something positive, learn, and meet new people.
My name is David Gladkov. I’m a Portuguese‑Ukrainian student and I’m currently studying Economics at the University of Algarve.
Being part of the 3rd Being SEA‑EU Conference is an incredible opportunity. Volunteering at an international event places me in an inclusive, well‑organised environment with people from many different nationalities and backgrounds, and I’m truly happy to be part of it.
I also see this as a chance to grow personally and professionally – by contributing to others, I learn more about myself.
This experience is helping me develop new skills and broaden my perspective on what it means to be part of a European community.
And most of all, I feel grateful to give back to the SEA‑EU Alliance through active service and collaboration, to the same community that welcomed me and opened so many doors for me.

I’m an Indian student currently living in Italy, and I joined the European Solidarity Corps because I wanted to experience something different from my usual routine of studying, working, and pretending I have my life completely figured out.
I love meeting new people, exploring new places, learning from different cultures, and trying things that push me a little outside my comfort zone. For me, volunteering is about being useful, but also about sharing experiences, making connections, and learning from the people around me.
I’m excited to be part of this project, contribute wherever I can, and create some good memories along the way. And if I come back with a few funny stories, new friendships, and slightly better life skills, I’ll consider it a success!

Hi, I’m Jenni from Germany. I joined this project because I wanted to experience everyday life in Poland, a country that is part of my background, but in a language I don’t speak very confidently yet. I’m also excited to discover Gdańsk, a city I don’t know yet, close to the sea, and especially to meet new people and experience life here together with them.
I’m taking part in this volunteering programme because I want to visit new places at the same time that I’m helping to the community and meeting new people with different backgrounds from mine.
Volunteering is not about personal ambition. It responds to a real need to give our work, time, and skills to a greater cause. We are called to action, leaving all passivity behind and opening our minds and hearts to new realities.

This ESC volunteering project represents a unique opportunity to connect with people and work together toward a more diverse, inclusive, and sustainable future.
As I prepare to start my Master’s in European Studies between France and Germany next year, I couldn’t ask for a better start than volunteering in one of Poland’s most fairytale-like cities and contributing to the SEA-EU Conference.
I am deeply grateful to live this experience in such a supportive environment.

I’m Sarah. I am 24 years old, and I come from Italy.
I decided to volunteer in this project because I believe meeting people from all over the world, with different backgrounds and cultures, makes you grow as a person. It opens your mind; it teaches you to respect everyone, to collaborate, and it gives you memories that you will value forever.
Namaste, I am Swikrit from Nepal. I am currently a Joint European Master’s Degree student in a Sustainability Management program. The reason I chose a joint European degree is much the same reason I wanted to be part of this volunteering project: to travel across Europe, meet new people, learn from different perspectives, and create something new together through the synergy we build.
