Project “Baltic Welcome Hub- Your gateway to academia and global collaboration” received funding in the “Welcome to Poland” programme call run by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). Project will be run at the University of Gdańsk from October 1st, 2025 till September 30th, 2027 and headed by the Director of Cooperation and International Relations Office, Ms. Magdalena Sawicz.
The project aims to improve the services for the international academic community of the University of Gdańsk. The project activities are focused on acquiring competencies of administrative and academic staff, expanding support infrastructure, and promoting the university as an open place in the scope of international scientific cooperation. The project takes into account aspects such as equal opportunities, accessibility, and inclusion, including adapting spaces and services for people with special needs.

The key tasks of the project include:
· development of staff competencies – trainings for administrative, teaching, and research staff in the field of cooperation with foreigners and the management of international exchanges,
· infrastructure expansion – creating Welcome Points in Sopot and Gdynia dedicated to provide support services to international students, PhD students and staff
· development of Welcome Centre website- improving the website’s functionality, adapting it to the needs of foreigners participating in exchange programs, including individuals with special needs.
